No idea what to get him and your searches on Pinterest for “Valentine’s For Him”, “Valentine Gift Ideas for Husband,” “Meaningful Valentines Gifts for Him,” aren’t helping? Want to do something special for your spouse, something other than a box of chocolates or dinner or a random gift that really doesn’t mean much?

For the last couple years I have had a bit of an I really don’t care about Valentine’s Day and it’s just a waste of time and money attitude. And the whole, why should I bother when he always forgets, mentality, well, let’s just not go there because nobody wins and momma won’t be happy. We have had a super busy year and I wanted to do something different and extra special for my husband. Not because I want to spend a bunch of money, but because I feel like after having a child your relationship tends to be put on the back burner. A little human takes over and before you know it, those sweet little things that you used to do for each other, well it becomes easier and easier to let them disappear. They don’t have to, but it takes conscious thought to make sure it doesn’t happen. When life gets busy and priorities change, it doesn’t mean the romance has to disappear, it just might not be as spontaneous as it once was, right? 😉

So through my pinterest searches everything I could find was lame, corny, boring, meaningless, you get the idea. Nothing was cutting it. I suppose if it comes from the heart it should come from me and not Pinterest, but we all need a little help once in a while! And then I saw Jenga. Loooove Jenga <3 Don’t laugh. It likely fits into the lame and corny categories above, but aren’t those what love is all about? And no, I don’t mean super kinky Jenga either. Check out the link here for how you can make your own. I may have to take a video of my husband when he opens it, haha!

I’d love to hear what you are doing for Valentine’s Day. I’m sure it’s better than Jenga! lol

I also took the day with my little to make cookies and Valentine’s Cards for family and friends. Here are a few of our favourite photos!
