It’s a bit surreal, but it’s true. Our baby boy is 1! There was a time when I didn’t know if we’d be able to have a second child and now he’s here and HE’s ONE! Wow! I’m just so grateful for him. He’s such a happy, content, easy going little guy; all with a smile too!

We decided not to have a big party, instead we celebrated the occasion with cake when some family was visiting and it was just perfect for a first birthday!

We did set up a couple decorations (paper balloons), just so our older daughter felt like it was a party! haha. If there are cake and balloons, it’s basically a party in our house. This momma also can’t resist a good theme, so we went with “wild one.” I made a onesie with my Cricut and had fun decorating his vanilla cake! We topped it off with some spruce twigs and cones that we collected from our local forested park. I think it turned out great, what do you think?

Are you into big or small birthdays? Let me know in the comments!

We bought our paper balloons from our local dollar store and borrowed the bear figures from a friend, but I’ve linked some similar options to get your shopping started! I also found that really cute outfit, I couldn’t resist sharing!
